I am not from the area but was able to drive down to be fitted. They were wonderfully knowledgeable and fitted me in several nice bras. I have since placed several mail orders and I’ve been just as happy with the service.
I was able to visit recently, and thought I should add a couple of notes. I was very happy with my visit!
1.) Service was excellent – I showed up half an hour early to my fitting (you can make an online appointment), but they were able to take me right away. The woman fitting me (I believe her name was Serenity?) was very friendly and knowledgeable and generally wonderful to work with. She knew which bras ran tighter or looser, which ones had been discontinued and so on.
2. Selection – the in store selection is much bigger than is easily visible on line. They seem to have most models of most popular UK brands in the store. I think they only list the specialty brands like EM online, because it doesn’t make sense for them to compete with the big online stores.
3. Price – I was pleasantly surprised to see that pricing was the same as standard pricing on Bare Necessities/ Her Room. I didn’t see any bras on sale (I frequently choose to shop the sales on those websites and usually avoid paying full price), but you won’t be paying any extra if you choose to go here instead of online. The EM bra I got was in the mid-60s, which was less than I was expecting to pay.
The storefront is not very impressive and essentially all of the bras are kept in the back, so you need to do a fitting to shop and can’t really visually browse. They’re very willing to grab new sizes or colorways for you to look at, though, and I didn’t feel like this was any impediment.
They also have a tip option on the credit card machine, though you can obviously choose not to tip. This threw me off a bit, so I thought I would mention it.
I am planning to go back sometime in the next couple of years – if it was closer to me, I would say sooner, but it is a bit of a drive for me. It’s a much better experience than shopping online and having to do returns.
