I went to the busted Bra Shop in Ann Arbor MI and the fitter had no idea what she was doing. I typically wear a 36JJ UK, but I was having issues finding a Bra that sat well in my IMF causing pain after a few hours of wear.
The fitter at this shop tried to put me in a 40GG. I said that obviously would be too big in the band, but she ignored me and brought that size despite me asking for 36 band sizes. I put it on to oblige her, and I could fit both my fists under the band. She said that that was what she measured me at (my rib cage with a loose measurement is 37 inches, tight measurement 36 inches), and there was nothing else she knew how to do. So I left sweaty from trying on bras that didn’t fit and frustrated.
